Bite-Sized Broadway enlists the help of a group of paid readers (the Mini-Musical Reading Committee or MMRC) to read and evaluate all submissions before passing along their recommendations to producers. The MMRC is a diverse group of trusted readers made up of different ages, ethnicities, gender identities and expressions,, cultural backgrounds, abilities, and other demographics in order to attempt to emulate our writers and our listenership as a whole.
This inaugural committee was appointed by IndieWorks Artistic Director, Christopher Michaels, after an open application process. The committee of 11 is a peer-governed group led by Chairperson Brandon A. Wright, Secretary Amy Andrews, and Committee Deputy, Maggie Carrido. Membership includes Caitlyn Burt, Johanna Carlisle-Zepeda, Judith Manocherian, David Huang Pham, Ben Tostado, Dana Young-Howze, and Emily Zhou.

Amy Andrews is a NYC-based lyricist/librettist/dramaturg who is passionate about theater as a driver of social change. Her musical THE AMERICAN DREAM (music by Isabel Gúzman) was produced at the 2022 Hollywood Fringe Festival (Pick of the Fringe nomination). Amy is co-founder (with Hayley Goldenberg) of WOMEN & THEATRE, a podcast that explores the experiences of women and nonbinary people in the theater industry. Caitlyn has been commissioned to write several productions worldwide and was chosen for the Hosking Houses Trust writers' bursary. Maggie is an interdisciplinary performing artist and activist based in the Pacific Northwest. Her focus is on developing new works by historically under-invited authors and artists.

David is a musical theater science communicator. After his astrophysics undergrad at Michigan State, he studied playwriting as a Working Title Playwrights apprentice in Atlanta and Playwrights Foundation fellow in San Francisco. MilkyWay Theatre Company produced a sold-out workshop production of his musical ELLIPSES in THEATRE 71 AT BLESSED SACRAMENT in January 2023. His moonbase is in New York City. Dana is a screenwriter from Mays Landing, NJ. They hold a degree in American Studies from Rutgers University and attended Hollins University’s Screenwriting program. They are the D in RnD Young-Howze theatre critics at The Young-Howze Theatre Journal.
