CALENDAR BOYS PRODUCTIONS

In the spring of 2015, a group of friends got together and decided to start a company to showcase their talents as writers, directors, and producers, but also to produce the kind of work they, themselves, wanted to see out in the world. In a flash, Calendar Boys Productions was created; a small company with big plans. The projects presented under this company were quality, award-winning pieces of theatre and film, but it was the general consensus that the name, Calendar Boys Productions, was not reflective of the kind of work we were putting out into the world.

After much thought and consideration, late nights, and countless cups of coffee, IndieWorks Theatre Company was born. Although what we accomplished in our short time as Calendar Boys Productions is recorded here and cherished, we look forward to bringing even better productions to our audiences as IndieWorks Theatre Company!

VALLEY HIGH

MUSIC & LYRICS BY DREW GASPARINI; FILM BY CHRISTOPHER MICHAELS

Based on the song of the same name by Drew Gasparini, with orchestrations by award-winning musician, Charlie Rosen, Valley High is a short musical film that uses music to tell the story of three bullied and tormented teenage boys who long for attention, acceptance, and love in a world that refuses to give that to them.  Having no one to turn to but each other in this vulnerable time, the three boys band together to then turn dangerously against those who have done them wrong.

When an arrogant, recently-sacked MTA executive tries to find his bus to HoHoKus, New Jersey after midnight, his life becomes exactly the sort of horror story you'd expect to take place in the Port Authority Bus Terminal as the plaster "Commuters" statue comes to life to deliver a horrible warning... When it comes to New York City transit, you better behave, or better be brave!
