BOX OFFICE ASSISTANTS

Volunteers are needed prior to each performance to be in the box office to sell tickets for that afternoon's/evening's show and to distribute tickets to patrons who have purchased them in advance on a will-call basis.

Responding to phone messages and helping with ticket sales can be done from home! Training is provided. Good organizational and people skills, as well as computer skills, are important.

PATRON SERVICES

These enthusiastic, customer service-oriented individuals provide invaluable services by assisting patrons, answering questions, and most importantly, creating a pleasant and welcoming environment for our patrons. Patron Services volunteers are also in charge of selling and renewing subscriptions and Premium Access memberships at a booth in the lobby of our performance space.

FRONT OF HOUSE STAFF

Front of house volunteers serve as ticket takers, ushers, house managers, and concessions crew at our performances and are responsible for the lobby and house before, during, and after a performance. In most cases, the volunteers in these positions are the ones our patrons will encounter first, most, and remember long after they leave. We want our front of house staff to be just another reason people come back to see our productions!

FUNDRAISING

Help with raising the needed funds to keep IndieWorks afloat and able to keep producing affordable, high quality, theatre. Even if you’ve never raised money before, you can succeed as an IndieWorks fundraiser! Fundraising isn’t just about collecting money; it also entails effectively communicating why the donations are needed. If you have good communication skills, then volunteering for a position that involves fundraising might be a good fit for you!

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS

There are times when our office staff needs help during the day preparing mailings, taking phone calls, selling and/or renewing subscriptions and Premium Access Memberships, taking donations, sorting and filing paperwork, running minor errands, and occasional phone campaigns.

If you're good with your hands, have special skills in construction, are a talented painter or sewer, then this might be the position for you!

COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Volunteering can be as simple as having knowledge about IndieWorks Theatre Company, its productions, artists, and audiences, and sharing that knowledge with people by manning a booth at community events, conventions, and festivals! It might just be your smile and wealth of knowledge that brings in new audiences to our theatre!

WE VALUE YOU, YOUR INTEREST IN VOLUNTEERING, AND YOUR GENEROUS DONATION OF TIME!
