Step back in time with us to 1869! Emily, a bright young girl with an overactive imagination, has run away from home to prove that there are wonderful things in the world out there! Before long, she finds herself in the employ of a shady showman, William "Stub" Newell, the owner of a prehistoric, petrified giant! She and the Giant become instant “imaginary friends,” but all is not well. When the unscrupulous circus impresario, P.T. Barnum, offers a hefty sum to buy Newell’s profitable, prehistoric attraction and is refused, he comes up with a scheme to steal Stub's business right out from under his nose forcing Emily to sort through what is fact, what is fiction, and what's all in her imagination.

Kit Goldstein Grant’s new musical, based on the true story of New York's famed Cardiff Giant, features a catchy score packed with wonderfully whimsical music and clever lyrics making for a fun, family musical that bursts with excitement – and even a bit of history – as a cast of colorful characters takes you on a journey to the past by way of a young girl’s imagination.

KIT GOLDSTEIN GRANT (Composer/Lyricist)

Kit is a prize-winning, New York City-based composer, lyricist and librettist. Her musicals have been seen in South Africa (THE NOSE, AnexTheatre Productions) and in New York at Theater for the New City (THE WRONG BOX), The Players Theatre (WHERE ANGELS FEAR TO TREAD, THML Theater), the Master Theater (THE NOSE), the Midtown International Theater Festival (THE NOSE, nominee Best Musical), the Emerging Artists Theatre New Work Series (IN THE HORSE), and the Musical Theatre Factory. IndieWorks has also presented her works at The Gallery Players (THE GIANT HOAX), the Hudson Guild Theatre (EMPTY FRAMES), and at the Theater at St. Clements (THE COMMUTERS...) which was nominated Best Musical in the Strawberry Theatre Festival.  Five of her musicals for young audiences have toured schools with the Schenectady Theatre for Children, including IT’S RAINING TAMALES!, which is published by YouthPLAYS.  Kit has studied at Juilliard as well as the Tony-Award winning BMI Musical Theatre Writing Workshop, and she is a member of The Dramatists Guild and ASCAP.

He has also directed numerous cabarets and concerts including THE BROADWAY THEATRE CAFÉ (Rising Action Theatre) as well as Playlight Theatre Company’s SONGWRITER'S SHOWCASES Volumes 1 & 2. His film directorial debut, VALLEY HIGH, a short, musical film based on the song of the same name by Drew Gasparini, made it’s premiere this winter.

MOLLY MODEL (Choreographer)

Molly is a fourth-generation musical theatre-maker whose original choreography has been seen all over the world, from Italy to NYC’s DTW/New York Live Arts (NYLA), The Westside Little Theatre, and 59E59 Theaters.  Choreography credits include ALICE LOST IN WONDERLAND (The Playroom Theater), the world premieres of LULLABY OF BROADWAY (Narnia Festival) and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT (Ziegfeld Society), York Prep School’s THE DROWSY CHAPERONE and UNDERGROUND and Associate Choreographer for their productions of LEGALLY BLONDE and NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, as well as Weathervane Playhouse’s 42nd Street and most recently as Assistant Choreographer to Christine O’Grady for the world premiere of Prospect Theatre Company’s The Hello Girls: A New American Musical. Molly is a frequent guest teacher and choreographer for Shuffles Tap School where she was previously a student for 16 years, showcasing her work at The Kaye Playhouse in Manhattan. She recently choreographed Our Time: The Children of Merrily We Roll Along at Feinstien’s/54 Below, for which she made her producing/directing debut and in which she also performed.

JONATHON LYNCH (Music Director/Arranger)

Jonathon wrote the book, music, and lyrics to THE TURING TEST (Lincoln Center and Gallery Players), and music for AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN (Unsung Musicals Co), TIME TRAVEL MAKES COMPLETE SENSE (Bruno Walter Theater), SLAM! (Soundbites musical festival 2013 finalist), NEWB (webseries score), and ¡CANTA! SONGS FOR LEARNING SPANISH (album). Upcoming projects include book, music, & lyrics for THE BAROQUE CYCLE. His music has been performed at the Lincoln Center, Joe's Pub at the Public Theatre, NYTB, New World Stages, 54 Below, and the 47th St. Theatre. He was copyist/assistant music director for FINDING NEVERLAND (NY workshop dir. Diane Paulus), music director/dance arranger for THE CITY CLUB (Minetta Lane, prod. Mitchell Maxwell), and orchestrator for various songs by Brian Lowdermilk. An alum of Northwestern University and the BMI Workshop, Jonathon is currently music directing faculty at AMDA. Theron’s recent designs include PLAYDATE (Dixon Place), SYLVIA and THE 39 STEPS (Summer Repertory Theatre), CARCASS (Shetler Studios), AIDA and BILLY ELLIOT (Weathervane Playhouse), A MAN’S WORLD (Williamstown Theatre Festival), and THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME (The Carnegie). Theron will also be the assistant scenic designer for Roundabout Theatre Company’s Broadway revival of THE GIRL WITH THE ROSE TATTOO. He holds a BFA in Scenic Design from University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). Winner, USITT’s Oren Parker Undergraduate Scene Design Award.

Tyler is a freelance costume designer and Broadway dresser. He recently moved to New York City after designing, creating, and managing: musicals, plays, dance pieces, children’s theatre, and theme park shows in Virginia for eight years. Some of his favorite credits are IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU, THE SECRET GARDEN, ...SPELLING BEE, ALL MY SONS, and TWELFTH NIGHT. Since arriving to NYC he has worked at the The Metropolitan Opera, City Ballet, Roundabout Theatre, The Public, WICKED, and THE PROM. Michael is a video preservationist by profession, but his "main thing" is being married to the amazing playwright/composer/lyricist, Kit Goldstein Grant.  He has done props for her musicals THE GIANT HOAX (Classic Theater Guild, 2010; IndieWorks/Gallery Players, 2017), THE NOSE (Midtown International Theater Festival, 2016), and THE WRONG BOX (Theater for the New City, 2018), EMPTY FRAMES (IndieWorks 2019) and CASPER, THE NOT-SO-FRIENDLY GHOST (IndieWorks 2019) -- a rare non-Kit addition to his prop mastering oeuvre!

HELENE GALEK (Casting Director)

HeleneGalekCasting was formed 7 years ago after serving as the casting director of Manhattantheatresource. Helene specializes in the indie world of theater, web series and films. This is the second time she has worked with all the amazing people at Visceral Entertainment, having cast “The Wrong Box” in last year’s Dream UP Festival. This summer at the Dream Up Festival, Helene cast the dramatic full-length play, “Dangerous to Dance With”. “Tech Bettys”, a web series, she has cast, is currently on the festival circuit and is garnering awards. She is attached to the full-length horror feature, “Circle of 3”s”, which is in pre-production. As an actor, Helene is involved with the new digital series, “Adulting With Jane” and can be seen in the trailer as the organizational expert.

JEREMY TERRY (Producer/IndieWorks Managing Director)

Jeremy serves as the Managing Director of IndieWorks Theatre Company, serving as Executive Producer on projects including LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS, INDIEWORKS' SUMMER CABARET SERIES, THE COMMUTERS, and the short film VALLEY HIGH. Previously he has worked as a stagehand and rigging operator for Jenny Wiley Theatre and Alluvion Stage Company. His background in entertainment also includes work with the Walt Disney Company, Proof Productions, and Roundabout Theatre Company. In addition to his work with IndieWorks, Jeremy works as a producer and general manager; past credits include work on THE NUTCRACKER AND THE MOUSE KING, a new play which received its first production at the 2016 Minnesota Fringe Festival, and THE CAMPAIGN, a long-running, episodic improv show that combined tabletop RPGs with live theatre.
